Avenida da Liberdade
Despite the name, the park was initially surrounded by a high wall. The walls were demolished later and the walk was open for everyone. It was revamped in the 1830s and 1840s by architect and was introduced a new arrangement of the plants as well as fountains, a waterfall and statues.
